NEWS FLASH-Fashion Designers Association has new counsel

Fashion Designers Association Florida (FDAF) has retained the services of attorney Paul S. Vicary, Esq., of The Vicary Law Firm to represent and assist FDAF in all phases of its creation and development.

Mr. Vicary will assist with establishing the business entity, developing sources for grants and will serve as general counsel, reviewing, negotiating, and drafting contracts and providing any other legal support required.

Aside from representing many small businesses, Mr. Vicary has served on the board of non-profit organizations.

Please help me welcome Paul to the FDAF family....

New Fashion Designer Association of Florida

Recently, I was in the company of several fashion designers, our conversation was fashion (what a surprise). As the conversation went on, we all realized, Florida does not have a designers organization and that we needed to establish a body where designers could go for support, and other services not currently offered to the design community.

There was one initiated sometime ago but it never got off its' feet. So that night, I got on my computer and started working on the development of this new association.

Thinking back to the conversation with all my fellow designers; I remembered we spoke of all those that create and are passionate about their craft.

As I brainstormed, the idea of establishing an association or society; I thought of what I wanted to see and what the association should offer those that wanted to be associated with the group.

I wrote what the mission, and the vision should be and what services I wanted to see or what services needed to be offered; I came up with a name, registered and bought the domain, "Fashion Designers Association Florida, www.FashionDesignersAssociationFlorida.com.

Thinking ahead, i also opened up a Facebook (FashionDesignersAssocFl), blog (http://www.fashiondesignersassocFl.blogspot.com) an email address (fashiondesignersassocfl@gmail.com) and will open more social sites to promote this association.

The website will be coming soon, but I can not do this alone. I will love to talk to my fellow designers that night and all designers that are or could be interested in this project.
